"Rowers Talk" is mostly about boats, material, technology and even more about rowing technique, physiological parameters and things like that. But one thing is as important as all these things: the water itself.
The club is blessed to have some of the best rowing conditions you can imagine:
- About 4 miles of river without any sandbank, rapids or bigger rocks to bother about.
- Nearly no current most of the time.
- High trees to protect the river from wind.
- Calm water with sufficient depth all over the river.
- Warm air and water temperatures most of the year.
- A nice dock and a wonderful boathouse
- Easily accessible:
But every river has its seasons. So we had to learn to live with the disadvantages of a river lately. In March and April 2003 the river came into the boathouse 3 times.
Use these useful tools to find out more about the water level at our boathouse.
